about updog yoga

Updog Yoga will open in early 2021 at Tulsa’s Gunboat Plaza, just west of 11th and Peoria. Led by long-time yoga practitioner and teacher Annie Clark, Updog will bring a yoga experience to Tulsa unlike any other — conceived of and born in the time of Covid-19 and intentionally designed to address wellness, safety, and community in a whole new way.

The pandemic has taught us a lot about what is important. We have new concerns around gathering and being indoors in public places, yet we also have a strengthened need for community and connection. Updog Yoga will meet these concerns and needs through the combination of technology, health protocols, enhanced indoor and outdoor spaces, and the invitation to safely gather once again.

Updog Yoga will be an environment that protects the wellbeing of teachers, staff, and clients through the use of:

  • Hospital-grade indoor air filtration

  • Room to social distance indoors and out

  • Strict cleaning protocols

  • An outdoor yoga deck with infrared heat panels and fans for year-round use

  • Online offerings for at-home practice

We will also honor and support each other through empowered and enlightened connection. Our classes are for everyone and every level. You don’t have to prescribe to a certain dogma or look a certain way to be a yogi. We encourage you to march to your own drum: sing if you like; chant if it moves you; read best sellers or study ancient texts; find a great teacher or go to lots of teachers, but never forget that the answers you seek are within.

We can’t wait to welcome you to the Updog Yoga community!
